We are carrying out essential maintenance work to water treatment works in Kingsclere Road, Upper Wooton.

The majority of this work is taking place within our existing site and will involve installing new equipment to improve the treatment process. The new equipment will future proof the water supply against forecasted increases in nitrate levels in the area.

This £5 million project is essential in order for us to ensure we can maintain a steady supply of top quality drinking water to your taps by filtering out increasing levels of nitrate in the groundwater.

We will be continuing to work with farmers and landowners to protect water quality and the environment now and in the future.

Construction started August 17 and it is anticipated this vital upgrade will take 14 months to complete.

Our partnering contractors have completed excavation work on-site and will take a short break over the Christmas period in order to minimise disruption. Work is due to recommence on January 4th. However, 24/7 site security will be maintained throughout this period to ensure safety.

The next phase of the project will be to begin installing the structures of the new tanks and equipment, which we anticipate will begin in mid-January.
