We have invested £185,000 to replace approximately 300m of an ageing, burst-prone water main in Crowborough.
This is part of our ongoing £489 million programme of investment to improve our water supply network.
This project renewed a section of pipe in Steep Road. This main had burst 17 times in the last five years, resulting in customers experiencing low pressure or no water, which is unacceptable to us.
We closed Steep Road for the safety of the public and our workforce while this work was carried out.
The project started on Tuesday 29 August, 2023, with work completed just five weeks later at the beginning of October.
