We have replaced approximately 50 metres of water main, due to an incident that undermined the main.
The main is vital for the supply of top-quality water into the Canterbury area and needed to be replaced urgently.
This will ensure that there is sufficient supply and pressure in the area and secure supplies for now and in the future.
The main was replaced between the junction of Glen Iris Avenue and St Thomas Hill and just past the junction between University Road and St Thomas Hill.
Work started on Monday 17 July, and took approximately six weeks to complete, with the project completed in September.
