We have carried out works in the Marden area to improve water supply amid pressure issues experienced by residents of Battle Lane.
This included reinforcing the network in three locations as part of a long term strategy to improve supply and pressure in the area.
We carried out investigations into the condition of the pipework and installed 200 metres of new water pipe between Milebush Lane and St Anne’s Green Lane, Marden in a £150,000 investment in the area in 2022. This new pipe was laid in private land adjacent to Maidstone Road.
We're pleased to say that following this work in the area, we have seen an improvement in pressures. However, we made the decision to change the way water flows through our underground network, adapting where the water which supplies Battle Lane comes from.
We completed this additional work in March 2023 and have seen improved pressures and stability in the area, which we hope has been noticeable for customers. We will continue to monitor the area following this work.
