As part of our ongoing programme to improve our water supply network, we installed 200 metres of new water pipe between Milebush Lane and St Ann’s Green Lane, Marden. The new pipe was laid in private land adjacent to Maidstone Road.
This vital £150,000 investment will enable us to improve water pressure in the area and keep top quality tap water flowing to our customers in the local community for years to come.
The project started on 20 September, 2022, with the start date for the work amended due to the funeral of Her Majesty the Queen on Monday, 19 September.
Work was completed in early November 2022, with Milebush Lane and St Ann's Green Lane closed to through traffic at different stages while we carried out the work. The B2079 Maidstone Road was also closed for a short period of time.
