A £500,000 investment to reinforce the water main supply to Chilmington Green started on 13 June. The project is expected to be completed by mid-August. This vital work will ensure that top quality drinking water will continue to flow to residents as the community grows.

The majority of work will take place in private land. However, there will at times be traffic management on Ashford Road to allow work to be undertaken safely. This will consist of either temporary traffic lights or stop/go boards, depending on the work being undertaken at the time.

There will be four-way traffic lights for one week. This is to allow the digging of trial holes to help us locate pipelines and cabling for existing utilities and ensure our main can avoid these. We expect this to be late July but will update on this page nearer the time once the date is confirmed.
