Terms and Conditions for Water Butt giveaway

1. Only one entry/water butt per South East Water account holder/household.
   
   
2. In order to be eligible to receive a water butt you must live in Ashford Borough Council and have received an email from South East Water inviting you to apply.
   
   
3. By taking part in the giveaway, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and the decisions of South East Water are final in all matters relating to the giveaway.
   
4. South East Water will only process your personal information as set out in the Privacy Policy. See also Condition 9 b), with regard to the announcement of winners.
   
   
   
5. South East Water reserves the right to suspend or withdraw the promotion or amend the giveaway or these terms and conditions without prior notice. Any changes will be posted either within the give away information or these terms and conditions.
   
   
6. The promoter of this prize draw is South East Water Limited (registration number: 02679874), Rocfort Road, Snodland, Kent, ME6 5AH.
   
   
7. The competition entry must be entered during the specific time stipulated in your invitation email. South East Water will not accept proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the promotion.
   
   
8. Applications will be selected on a first come, first served basis based off a complete and eligible application, subject to the maximum of 500 water butts.
   
   
9. If you are a successful applicant:
   1. the receipt by you of any give away is conditional upon you complying with any and all applicable laws, rules and regulations including, without limitation, these terms and conditions
   2. subject to condition 11 below, you acknowledge and agree that South East Water may choose to publish details of the give away, to include a photograph of the winners if required, in its publicity material, including but not limited to press releases or on its website.
   3. to receive your water butt you will need to respond to your winning notification within 30 days and we shall deliver it via post to your usual address as stated on your bill with South East Water. The date of delivery shall be determined by South East Water at its discretion.
   4. you agree that if upon notification of your successful application you do not respond to South East Water within 30 days to accept your water butt, South East Water shall be entitled to pick another application in order.
   5. you acknowledge and agree that South East Water, Ashford Borough Council or any of its agents are not responsible for any loss or damage caused by the acceptance of or use of the water butt.
   6. If you are not the homeowner you agree to seek permission to instal the water butt from your landlord or housing association.
      
      
10. South East Water must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation South East Ware will send the surname and county of prize winners to anyone who emails Waterefficiency@southeastwater.co.uk(opens in a new tab) within one month after the closing date of the promotion.
    
    
11. If you object to any or all of your surname or county being published or made available, please contact South East Water – Water Efficiency team Waterefficiency@southeastwater.co.uk(opens in a new tab) . In such circumstances, South East Water must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
    
    
12. The terms and conditions of this give away shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
