Following the Upper Tribunal's judgment in the matter of Fish Legal & Emily Shirley v Information Commissioner & Others  UKUT 0052 (AAC), South East Water is now subject to the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) 2004.
This means that members of the public are entitled to request certain environmental information from us.
South East Water is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Interim Charging Scheme
Please note that we charge for all environmental information requests.
We are currently compiling a formal charging scheme but in the interim, our charges for the provision of environmental information will be based upon the Information Commissioner’s guidance.
The charges will be made up of:
- Staff time spent locating, retrieving and extracting the information requested (£25 per hour of staff time
- Printing or copying the requested information and sending it to the applicant (10p per page of printing or copying)
- Postage fees (charged at cost and delivered by 2nd class post)
