What this means for customers' bills
We have engaged with nearly 8,500 households and businesses to help us make our investment decisions and prepare this plan, focusing on the desired customer outcomes of clean water, low leakage, effective service, affordable bills and reliable supplies.
We know from our many conversations with our customers that there are pressures on their finances. We have responded by keeping our prices in check to deliver a business plan – and water bills – that we think are still affordable to customers.
Today our average household bill is £201. From 2015 to 2020 our plan had proposed the average household bill would be £199, before inflation.
From 2017 all our business customers will be able to choose their water supplier. We have developed our range of charges in our plan for business customers so we can better match their requirements.
