Temporary traffic lights will be in place along High Street, West Malling, for up to three weeks in February when South East Water lays a new section of water main.
Construction is due to start on the 20 metre section, located around a small stretch of roadway linking High Street with King Street, on 6 February.
Chris Love, Delivery Manager at South East Water said: “The safety of motorists and our workforce is our top priority when laying new mains which is why we need to have temporary traffic lights in place for this work.
“I would like to apologise for the disruption this work will cause but hope motorists and the local community understand the long term benefits this scheme will deliver as we upgrade the local water network.”
The scheme forms part of the company’s £424 million investment programme taking place between 2015 and 2020.
