Free water saving tips available at Maidstone Mela
12 July 2017

Visitors to the Maidstone Mela event on Sunday 16 July will have the chance to find out how to save water and money.

South East Water staff will be giving out free water saving devices and advice as well as talking about the range of skills and expertise needed to deliver water fresh to the tap.

The annual event gives visitors the opportunity to take part in a range of creative activities, workshops as well as meet other exhibitors.

Lee Dance, Head of Water Resources at South East Water, said: “Events like this give us the opportunity to provide simple but effective tips on how people can not only save water, but money too.

“Taking simple steps such as using a watering can in the garden instead of a hose pipe, or turning the tap off when you brush your teeth can all add up to a big difference.”

The event has moved to a new venue this year and is taking place at Whatman Park on Sunday 16 July, between 12.30pm and 6pm.
