Free water saving tips available at Eastbourne 999
06 July 2017

Visitors to the Eastbourne 999 event on Saturday 8 July will have the chance to find out how to save water and money.

South East Water staff will be giving out free water saving devices and advice as well as talking about the range of skills and expertise needed to deliver water fresh to the tap.

The annual event, run at Western Lawns on Eastbourne seafront, is celebrating its 30th anniversary and gives visitors the opportunity to meet members of the emergency services and other exhibitors.

Lee Dance, Head of Water Resources at South East Water, said: “Events like this give us the opportunity to provide simple but effective tips on how people can not only save water, but money too.

“Taking simple steps such as using a watering can in the garden instead of a hose pipe, or turning the tap off when you brush your teeth can all add up to a big difference.”

The event is taking place at the Western Lawns, Eastbourne on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 July 2017, between 11am and 5pm.
