Bramley Road pipeline plans on show
08 September 2017

Residents in Little London are being invited to talk to the team about plans to lay a 1,110 metre water pipeline along Bramley Road.

South East Water is due to start work to install the pipeline on Monday 16 October, with the project expected to take about 30 weeks to complete.

Construction will be carried out along Bramley Road from the junction with Aldermaston Road.

As a safety precaution, this work will be carried out under a rolling road closure and the new main will be installed in sections before that section is reinstated and the work moves along to the next stage.

Temporary traffic lights will also be in operation for part of the work located on the A340 Aldermaston Road and Silchester Road.

Forming part of the company’s £424 million investment programme between 2015 and 2020, the water pipeline will secure water supplies for current and future customers in the area.
A drop-in session where local residents can ask questions will take place from 4.15pm to 7.15pm at St Stephen’s Hall, Silchester Road, Little London, Tadley, RG26 5EX on Thursday 14 September.
Matthew Cooper, Project Manager at South East Water, said: “This important scheme will secure water supplies for current and future customers as the community grows.

“We hope members of the local community will visit us at St Stephen’s Hall and speak to the project team who will be on hand to answer any questions on the project.”
