Paradise Drive, Eastbourne

Why are we doing this work?

As part of an ongoing programme to improve our water supply network we are planning a scheme to install a new cross-connection between two existing water mains on Paradise Drive, Eastbourne, BN20 7SX.

This work is necessary to improve the capacity of the network and ensure we can continue to maintain water pressure to the area as the community grows.

Where are we working?

Work on the £30,000 scheme to install the new cross-connection will take place on Paradise Drive, west of its junction with Link Road.

Due to the nature and location of the construction works, and as a safety precaution for pedestrians, motorists and our contractor, we need to close a short section of Paradise Drive to through traffic only immediately west of its junction with Link Road.

The diversion route, which has been agreed in conjunction with East Sussex County Council Highways, will be clearly signposted for the duration of the work.

Access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times. However your normal access route may need to be changed as the scheme progresses depending on where the roadworks are in relation to your property’s entrance.

When will the work take place?

Construction is planned to start on Tuesday 9 May 2017 and the project is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete, however our contractor’s staff will work as hard as they can to complete the work as quickly and safely as possible.
