Forest Row to Weir Wood

Why are we doing this work?

To improve the capacity of our network, and ensure we can continue to maintain water pressure to the area as the community grows, we will be installing 1860 metres of new water main from Forest Row to Weir Wood, East Sussex.

Where are we working?

The new pipeline will mainly be laid in field sections, however we will be making a connection to an existing water main in the access track leading to Weir Wood water treatment works from Priory Road.

As a safety precaution for pedestrians, motorists and our contractor priority boards will be in place along the access track while we make the cross connection. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times.

When will the work take place?

Construction is planned to start on Tuesday 18 April 2017 and the project is expected to take approximately six months to complete.

Work will take place during normal working hours, although there may be some activities at weekends.
