Eridge Green to Hourne Farm, East Sussex

Why are we doing this work?

To ensure our customers in the area continue to enjoy top quality tap water, we will be installing 3230 metres of new water main from from land to the west of Forge Road, and to the south of the property known as Bullfinches near Eridge Green, to Hourne Farm, East Sussex.

The new water main will improve the capacity of our network and ensure we can continue to maintain water pressure to the area as the community grows.

Where are we working?

Construction works will be carried out mostly in field sections; however we will be making a connection to an existing water main in the Bridleway just west of the private road leading to Motts Farm and Bullfinches, Eridge Green.

As a safety precaution for pedestrians and other bridleway users a temporary closure will be in place along the access track while we make the cross connection.

Access to homes and businesses near to the pipeline works will be maintained at all times.

When will the work take place?

Construction is planned to start 4 July 2017 and the project is expected to take approximately five months to complete.

Work will take place during normal working hours, although there may be some activities at weekends.
