Project updates

Update 13 April 2017

We have moved onto the second phase of our scheme and are currently working in the verge between Hook Garden Centre and the junction of Griffin Way North.

Work is progressing well and we have currently laid 260 metres within the verge under two-way traffic lights. We will be looking to drill the next 200 metres of pipe from the middle of next week.

Thank you to local residents and motorists for your patience while this work continues.

Update 23 March 2017

We have moved on to Phase 2 of our scheme and are currently working in the verge between Hook Garden Centre and the junction of Griffin Way North.

Work is progressing well and we have currently laid 160m within the verge under two-way lights.

Thank you to local residents and motorists for your patience while this work continues.

Update 10 March 2017

We have successfully carried out work to connect the first new section of pipe to our existing network this week.

On Monday morning we will be starting work on the second phase of the scheme which will run between Hook Home and Garden Centre and along Griffin Way North up to the junction with Oak Tree Drive.

For the safety of our gang and the public, traffic lights will be in place. We expect to be working here until June but will keep you updated on our progress.

Thank you to local residents and motorists for your patience.

Update 3 March 2017

We have almost completed the first phase of our work as part of this scheme. Our road closure along Reading Road, between the junctions of Hook Road and Cowfold Lane, will be lifted on Monday and traffic lights will be in place to allow our gang to connect the new pipe to the network.

From Monday 13 March we will move onto the second phase of the scheme. This work will be carried out along Reading Road at the junction with Hook Home and Garden Centre and will continue along Griffin Way North up to the junction with Oak Tree Drive.

This section of the scheme will be carried out under traffic lights to keep traffic moving. We expect to be working on this phase until the end of June.

We would like to thank local residents and motorists for their patience and ongoing cooperation.
