Hatch Warren Roundabout, Basingstoke

Why are we doing this work?

To ensure our customers in the area continue to enjoy top quality and reliable tap water, South East Water will be laying a new water main around Hatch Warren Roundabout in Basingstoke.

The £75,000 scheme will improve the capacity of the network and ensure we can continue to meet water demand in the Basingstoke area.

When will the work take place?

Work on this important project will begin on Monday 20 February 2017 and is expected to take approximately 12 weeks to complete. However our contractor, Clancy Docwra, will be working as quickly and safely as possible.

Where are we working?

The scheme will see 447 metres of new pipe laid around Hatch Warren Roundabout and along a small section of Winchester Road, Basingstoke.

To ensure the safety of the public and our contractor while the new pipe is laid, we will need to temporarily close one lane of the dual carriageway which runs between Hatch Warren Roundabout and Kempshott Roundabout.

Please be assured that access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times.

Work will take place during normal working hours, although there may be some activities at weekends.
