Why are we doing this work?
As part of an ongoing programme to improve our water supply network we are planning a scheme to install 255 metres of pipe along Dukeshill Road, Bracknell.
This work is necessary to improve the capacity of the network and ensure we can continue to maintain water pressure to the area as the community grows.
When and where are we working?
Work on the scheme to install the new water main will take place along Dukeshill Road, Bracknell.
This will begin on Monday 16 January 2017 and is anticipated to take approximately seven weeks to complete. However our contractor will be working as hard as they can to complete the work as quickly and safely as possible.
How can we ensure this work is done with minimum disruption to you?
As a safety precaution for pedestrians, motorists and our contractor we will need to temporarily close Dukeshill Road while this work takes place.
Construction works will be carried out in stages, with the road being returned to its original state upon completion of one section before the working area moves along to the next stage.
In addition, we will need to temporarily suspend parking in the sections where we are working however parking bays will be made available again as we move along the road.
The work could be extended at a later date to include a section in Binfield Road. Some minor site investigation work which will involve investigative trial holes are also planned in the vicinity of the Western Roundabout. We will keep you updated on the progress of this work.
Please be assured that access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times.
Work will take place during normal office hours however some work may also take place at weekends.
