In the South East region, the average daily consumption of an unmetered customer is 160 litres of water per person per day, the equivalent of taking two baths.
Based on this, a customer could use an average of 58,400 litres of water each year.
We measure water in cubic metres and our metered customers are charged for each cubic metre of water they use. One cubic metre = 1,000 litres.
Typically, metered customers use approximately 10% less water than unmetered customers.
Use our online calculator to work out how much water your household uses on average each year.
