Why are there banging noises in my pipes?

Banging noises in pipes can be caused by trapped air in your water or by leaks in the pipework.

To remove the trapped air, try turning your cold water kitchen tap on to a medium flow, then turning your internal stop tap off and on a few times.

If this does not work then contact a qualified plumber to check your internal pipework.
