South East Water has more than 14,500km of water mains which have more than 6 million joints, covering 5,657 square kilometres of Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire.
To maintain that extensive network as well as our multi-million pound investment programme, South East Water employs a number of contractors covering multiple projects over a period of time, often several years. The largest of our contracts is with Clancy Docwra.
South East Water’s contractors, Clancy Docwra, work across our supply area.
The contractor is employed to carry out all the repair and maintenance work on South East Water’s extensive water main network, lay strategic water mains, and install 375,000 meters at customers’ homes. With most of this work taking place in the roads and streets around our region, Clancy Docwra’s activities are a highly visible part of our operation.
Whether a water main is being renewed, or water meters are being installed, our staff work closely with Clancy Docwra to ensure that the work is completed as planned with as little impact on the local community as possible.
